Build Your Brand with Customer Relationships

6/24/2010 at 10:18 am by

build your brand with customer serviceWhat makes major companies like Target or Netflix so popular? When you ask brand loyalists about their favorite companies, a lot of times they talk about great customer service. Sometimes, they can only express their enthusiasm by professing they “love” a business.

To get your small company going, you need to leverage that loving feeling among current and prospective customers. One entrepreneur says the best way to do this is by building sound customer relationships. Karen Klein, founder of Cult Branding Company, told Bloomberg it takes quality consumer management to make consumers fall in love with a company.

One way to build customer relationships is by offering consumers a quality experience when they call service centers at your company. Business owners who take the time train service agents to handle clients in a friendly manner may get ahead of the curve. Also, CRM tools can be used to enhance the customer experience by giving agents pertinent information about individual clients. This way, they can cater to specific consumers’ needs.

Another way to build customer relationships is to bring service agents and clients together face-to-face. Klein suggests entrepreneurs plan an annual event to bring consumers together with the agents they speak to on the phone. Clients might really get engaged if you let them vote on aspects of the meet-and-greet, such as the location or theme.

Getting agents and customers together in-person can be a great way to build local customer loyalty. Still, business owners should remember to prioritize hiring top agents and using the right CRM tools to build customer relationships worldwide.
