Making a company green by implementing Cloud ERP

Manufacturing companies and other large enterprises have quite a few options for re-imagining themselves. Some may want only to expand, no matter what the costs are. Others might decide that they want to become leaner and more efficient. However, a third option is developing that poses a number of advantages for nearly any sort of production-based organization – going green.
Transforming an organization's processes to be largely ecologically friendly may seem like a significant project, but it is actually fairly simple considering the rewards. Operating costs can be lowered, marketing materials can be updated and compliance can be conducted much more easily. A great tool for doing this is enterprise resource planning, particularly when it's implemented and deployed in the cloud.
Because it requires so little onsite hardware to operate, Cloud ERP will significantly reduce the amount of money that companies need to devote to electricity. Keeping records onsite requires servers, or at the very least a number of large and energy-hungry PCs. Cloud ERP is remotely hosted, which only requires the use of a dependable internet connection and a computer capable of viewing images. In fact, the operating system of a PC barely has to have top-line memory capabilities since almost nothing is run or stored onsite.
Paper usage will significantly decline, freeing up costs for quite a few other projects. What small amount of paper that remains within a company's needs can be used for essentials such as note-taking and some reports. However, there's very little need for the printing of reams and reams of text simply because any computer in a facility can instantly view records and reports.
Public relations certainly benefits from cloud-based ERP for no reason except for the fact that organizations can be proud of the contributions that they're making to the environment. This is good for end-user consumers who enjoy buying things that aren't severely hurting the planet as well as other organizations that have policies in place that won't let them transact with groups that pollute or ignore government regulations.
The final piece of the puzzle is overall size. The physical space that an office occupies can get out of hand when there are a lot of large computers onsite, along with the IT departments that are needed to support them. Eliminate both and reduce the cost of each by switching to software as a service or Cloud ERP.
